Webcam and weather station currently unavailable
The CenturyTel DSL link to the summit is now working and we are testing the software link to the camera and weather station. Check back for news.

Stone tower closed week of June 1.
The historic tower is closed this week for annual maintenance. Astounding views are still available from the summit. Maintenance has to be performed every year and has to be in the best weather conditions because window frames are varnished, grout is replaced and floors are resurfaced.

Moran State Park on Orcas Island, in Washington State covers 5,252-acres with five freshwater lakes, over 30 miles of hiking trails and over 150 camp sites. Atop the 2,409-foot-high Mt. Constitution, the highest point on the San Juan Islands, there stands a stone observation tower built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1936.

The Friends of Moran State park is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to raise funds and coordinate volunteer efforts throughout the year for projects within the 5252 acre state park. We assist the Moran State Park rangers with trail and campground maintenance, clean up and preservation. We also offer education and interpretive programs for our thousands of visitors. The Friends of Moran celebrate and honor the vision of Robert Moran who said, “This beautiful park will be held forever as a playground for all the people.”

We appreciate your interest in the most magnificent park on Orcas Island.
