Be informed! Strength in numbers-collectively we stand to protect, preserve and maintain our park.
Friends of Moran is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The funds we receive from membership and special events go to environmental education and historical preservation projects like:
This year our quest for funds will also help to continue our work in the Summit History and Science Center which is coming together creatively in the old KVOS Building at the Summit of Mt. Constitution. Come volunteer and share your knowledge of the park history.
We also coordinate volunteer efforts throughout the year for projects such as spring clean up, trail maintenance and historic preservation and provide tools, food and warm drinks for our volunteers.
When you join Friends of Moran you see Robert Moran’s silhouette and share his vision. You can feel great about making a contribution towards the preservation and maintenance of our state park and continuing the legacy of 1921 when Robert Moran donated the land that we can enjoy any day of the week.
The Members of Friends consist of volunteers and donors who are interested in preserving a part of the natural outdoors for their children and their grandchildren’s future. Be a friends to the park. Your membership will support our park for the future, for our children, the creatures of the forest and the forest itself.
Ask about our legacy program as a way to honor someone you love. Your donation maybe tax deductible. All contributions are tax deductible.
Generous donations go a long ways with Friends. We’ve been able to provide funding for interpretive programs. Donation and matching grants made it possible for Friends to provide the porcelain interpretive panels located in the stone tower. The Interpretive Center, will educate and inspire visitors with even more information about the local history, archeology and ecology within Moran State Park.
Your donations help Friends of Moran financially support the Moran Hatchery for fish hatchery components such as the food, fry trays, water filters and viewing tank. These are the fish that call Cascade Lake home.
With your donations we can continue to provide services such as three emergency telephones located in the park where cell service is limited if not unavailable. This service is crucial in the event of an emergency and it’s a convenience when communication is needed in the park by visitors. Other services can be maintained too, such as the web page, weather data and the web cam which will benefit the traveling public, our community, the park and tourism.
Your donations and membership at any level help our non-profit organization grow and better support the park, which is more crucial now than ever.
